Continuing education credit for Helping Heroes is awarded on a module-by-module basis; however, all modules (i.e., the entire course) must be completed in order to receive credit. Eight hours of Continuing Education credit is approved for the successful completion of this online training course. A Certificate of Completion will be made available for printing when you submit the final evaluation on the site.
The National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVRTC) of the Medical University of South Carolina is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NCVRTC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. We also are approved by the National Board of Certified Counselors to sponsor continuing education (approval #6512). The Medical University of South Carolina is an approved provider of continuing education by all mental health licensing boards in South Carolina (SC Board of Psychology; SC Board of Social Work; SC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Psychoeducational Specialists).
Please note: Learners should NOT use the Helping Heroes continuing education Certificate of Completion to suggest that they are “certified” to deliver behavioral activation or therapeutic exposure or as evidence that they are competent in the delivery of these evidence-based practices. The Helping Heroes Certificate of Completion only means that the learner has completed this online training course.
